NAGPUR DIOCESE, CNI
 

Prior to the formation of the Church of North India, Dioceses of Nagpur came into existence in the year 1903. As an Anglican Dioceses prior to the formation of CNI following Bishops has given their Episcopal services to the Diocese of Nagpur by the Bishops Rt. Rev Eyre Chatterton (1903-1926), Rt. Rev Alexander Wood (1926-1937), Rt. Rev. Alexander Ogilvy Hardy (1938-1948), Rt. Rev George Sinker (1949-1954), Rt. Rev. Saddanand Appaji Phatak (1954-1957), Rt. Rev. John William Saddiq (1957-1970). After the formation of CNI the Bishop who have given Episcopal services are Rt. Rev R.S. Bhandare (1970-1985), Rt. Rev. Vinod Peter (1985-2000), Rt. Rev Premkumar Dhotekar (2001), Rt. Rev. Paul B. Dupare (2005-to till date).

 

Dioceses of Nagpur CNI is having the geographical area i.e. Vidarbha in Maharashtra. It has 26 Pastorates, 25 Pastors and 13 evangelist giving pastoral care to the congregation in the diocese of Nagpur. It has a holistic ministry of 18 schools, 5 hostels, two technical schools and social organization CNI-SSI, two colleges and one hospital. It is working for the extension of the kingdom of God.
